I was using R&P for a year or so, then switched over to Kirkland because it was half the price. Just got 6 gallons oil from Costco so that’ll keep me going for a little bit. Prob gonna change my diff fluid tomorrow, switching everything over to 75w-90. Last time I changed my diff fluid I used Toyota brand lol. Sooo damn expensive!

EBC green stuff pads also glazed on the 4runner which is much more lightly driven.

The rotors were minimally worn so just tossed in the yellow stuff pads.

I've also been eyeballing various rear control arm/panhard options as I slowly destroy all of the bushings in the OEM set. It seems like the Apache Offroad set is the most straightforward upgrade but some of the adjustable sets from Metalcloack and elsewhere are so pretty (the most important thing)

I am back and forth between something like the Dobinsons with rubber bushings and something with metal spherical bearings (Heims)

Sonoran Steel Fabrication arms are another option. They are DOM tubing with poly bushings, so they flex better than rubber but should last longer than heim joint bushings (which would not do well in a wet/salty environment).

They only problem is they are fixed/non-adjustable. If I go bigger/higher in the future I may weld in some adjusters.

Yea, I wont consider ones that dont have adjustment.

I got them on purpose to avoid having to true up the back of the rig at an alignment shop. But, it certainly would be nice to push the rear axle back around 1/2".

For anyone installing the new brushless twin ARB compressor, wire the red wire from the harness to use the provided air cutout.

It will power up the compressor with the blue wire but it will bypass the safety pressure cut out.

I also put in a lower pressure cut out. Video of filling two tires

Drove the GX yesterday to do a quick local hike. Was braking from speed and suddenly got all of these warnings, plus the tach and speedometer sweeping from "off" to max RPM/speed. I've gotten the traction and ABS lights in the past (as I posted about on here recently) but this was the first headlight warning notification.

Scanned the codes and got like 7 pages worth-- Engine and ECT, KDSS, ABS/VSC/TRAC, Main Body, Combination Meter, etc.

This truck is really starting to piss me off.

I'm wondering if it is the aftermarket head unit. Many of the CANBUS systems might go through it, and it might be worth reaching out to their tech support and seeing what they say. They should have a good understanding of those systems as they would have engineered their head unit around them.

Interesting theory. I will contact them. This didn't happen for the first 6+ months that I had the head unit in the vehicle though so not sure why it would suddenly occur.

Could it have been a software update that went wrong?

I still suspect it's a connection issue somewhere. I recall that you've checked all of the connections, but I can't think of anything else that would cause such weird behavior upon braking (which is getting jostled). Perhaps they'll know which system(s) it's splicing into and be able to help isolate it.

Haven't done any software updates since installing the unit

That's my suspicion as well. That or a bad ABS/speed sensor that's just intermittent and getting worse.

Everything that's ever broken on my GX is because *somebody* got a bunch of mud in it somehow...

You probably haven't filled the dashboard with mud but I wouldn't be surprised if a wire/connector was knocked loose or there was some fault in the head unit that triggered all those codes.

That certainly seems plausible. You can also damage the speed sensor wire by stretching it to much, although the actual sensor itself should last forever (all of mine are still OEM at 19 years of age). Have you done any wheel/axle/suspension work on the GX recently? It's not hard to stretch a speed sensor wire when working on the rig. Or the connector could have an issue - might be worth unplugging all of them and putting some dielectric grease in the connectors.

Loose connection seems likely

No, I haven't done any work. But the issues have only been as of late. Last wheeling trip was back in January (February?), though no issues for a few months after that.

Doing some reading. This seems possibly relevant: Dash lights, trouble codes issue 2013 GX #ABS - ClubLexus - Lexus Forum Discussion - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-2nd-gen-2010-2023/894540-dash-lights-trouble-codes-issue-2013-gx-abs.html

Yeah I had that headlight warning one time when I forgot to plug the wheel sensor back in after some suspension work.
