For Sale 82 Diesel BJ42 LX (RHD)

Recently imported 1982 BJ42 LX
Native 12 volt system. Not a 24 volt or conversion
Comes with engine rebuild kit. It is a long way from needeing it, but I got it in case they got hard to find later.
Has AC, PS and all the LX trim inside. (LX models hard to find)
LX cloth seats in good shape.
Came from desert in Australia so had no rust when purchased. now has light surface rust in a few spots.
Used currently as daily driver.
I have all the parts with it. Rear doors are currently off because I have been refinishing the bottom of those doors (that annoying place where all of them seem to get rust regardless of where they were.)
The only problem other than the rear quarter panel is the temp guage. I have an autometer temp guage currently hooked up to it but i have not altered the dash at all.
Has current safety inspection from VA
Legally imported and currently registered.
3rd owner
Runs great.
New battery
4Speed
237000, Kilometers (Not even close to broken in for a diesel)
Many parts I bought but have not installed yet including spare fuel tank, weather stripping for top, stainless steel screws, Rear reflector, etc.

I did not buy it from the importers in GA.

This is an extremely solid vehicle that I love and I have been working on to make perfect. The Only reason I am selling is because I just bought a fixer upper house. I do not want to neglect this vehicle and I could use the money for some home improvement projects.

I will list it here for 2 weeks before going on Ebay since I would rather someone who understands them will take it :)

It really is. I cannot tell you how much this sucks! The things we do to keep our significant others with a roof over our head. Apparently the square footage inside the BJ42 in insufficient... I tried to talk her into a Troopie, but alas, she was unmoved by the attempt at a compromise. :(
 
Good luck with the sell. I am curious about one portion of your thread. What is the significance of the statement " it was not imported from the guy in Ga."? Thanks......1978HJ45
 
man, from your name I thought you were in Texas! That is a little far for me especially since I already have one, though not nearly as nice! Good Luck with sell!

Would you be comfortable with it making a long trip in it, say from VA to TX?

While I can't speak for the guy who started this thread, the only importer that I am aware of in the State of Georgia is John Bailey ( "c-a-r-s.com" on the Forum ) who has a very good reputation as far as I know.
