Removed the third row. Make so much more sense.

Quick job with the instructions found on multiple forums. Straight forward and pretty easy. My carpet job leaves something to be desired, but it will be covered with the Lexus cargo mat. I just tacked it, no glue. Took about 30 minutes plus the wood trimming and carpet job.

How is the wood being supported if weight is loaded? Is it just sitting on top of the battery?

There is an inch of trim on each side it rests on. It’s pressure fit.

Does this throw any errors or codes? I imagine shouldn't but who knows with cars now of days.

I have 18000 miles of no third row, no DTCs. Not just unplugging the third row, but I also pulled the third row control ECU in the rear driver's quarter panel.

Yes. IMO that’s the only way it makes sense. I am so glad I could order one without the 3row and also got a credit on top of it. If you can wait, that’s the way to go, but I understand some can’t wait or will just get a preowned one. There are not too many 2 rows available as preowned, I think. I am not nearly mechanically inclined as you guys to be able to remove these electronic components.

If you watch ADGU vid, you don't really need to take all the electronics out. Just uplug it and zip tie it.

I think it was 43 wide by 38 deep, but I Connor find my note. You do have to trim the final 10 inches or so 1.5/2 inches per side more narrow to fit between the strut towers.

Due to a lack of requisite skills, I pre-ordered one of the Air Down Gear Up delete kits... their guys are super kind and early testing from them suggests I wont be able to overload the boot space. With tall dogs, getting a little more vertical space will be huge and excited to get the payload back.... should at least equal a heavy cooler :-)

I asked them if we can use the delete version platform to be part of their drawer version, so that way, you can remove the drawers if not needed and still have an aluminum floor. Right now, they don't have the ability but the future maybe?

For context, their drawer version of the floor is not aluminum.

Too funny - I was talking to them about the same thing - suggested they make a standalone and lockable drawer that can mount up to the third row delete plate. Also advocated for them shipping with L-Tracks or offer that as an option. Plate should have some mounting holes so why not? Based on their early testing, cant imagine this plate can't handle the weight easily.
