Drove over to the opening of Powers 4x4 in Des Moines.
Looks like an awesome set up. If ever in Des Moines, highly recommend checking them out.
Was able to meet up with some other 55 owners…including the owner of the shop has a pig,
His is the green one on the right.
@Dudleyfj40 is the green one on the left.
Great to meet you Brent!
Most Devine Swine I’ve seen in one location.

So much coolness there!! Incredible rigs.

Added to the FJ60 Mechanics Gsheet. This is the first Iowa shop on the list.

Just opened up a USPS box... I've been looking for one of these for a long time, I don't think you can be a real rock crawler without one. A real Ruff-Stuff diff cover, which they don't make anymore. Hope it fits, what with the 4.88s.
If it fits, maybe I should paint it

Do they work on or specialize on older Land Cruisers? Should I add them to the gsheet?

How was it?
Fj55 is a great sand driver for how heavy they are. It was also a fantastic on the beach. first real taste of summer on the east coast.

Nothing much, puttered about, as one does with a big run coming up in a month. Snugged up the manifold bolts, a couple really needed it it. Straightened out my steering wheel, it's been too far counter-clockwise for about 11 months, got out the steering fine-tuning tools, now it sits straighter. Bled the brakes again and took it for a drive in the neighborhood. Stabbed the pedal a few times, can't lock up 37s on dry pavement at 20 MPH but it stops real well.
