1984 Land Cruiser FJ45 Troop Carrier
OK guys. What's the story for this one. I've been looking hard at it for a couple of days now and other than a couple minor annoyances and questions it looks pretty incredible. Anyone know who did the resto? Thoughts on price. Bidding is over tonight at midnight. Is this a relist? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Toyota-Land-Cruiser-FJ45-Troop-Carrier-1984-toyota-land-cruiser-fj-45-troop-carrier-dual-fuel-h-55-f-/161040510263?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item257ec32d37&vxp=mtr#ht_127436wt_1165
UPDATE: I am no longer in the market for an FJ40. I underestimated the market for these vehicles and have changed my search to a FJ60/62 as good ones are much less rare and more reasonably priced. Thanks for your help everyone. I am ready to take the plunge and purchase my first Land Cruiser. I am selling my boring, mass produced yuppie family sedan and am finally going to buy a real automobile. I have settled in on the FJ40, but am open to the BJ40/42. I am looking for a mechanically sound rig in the 1976-83 range. My budget is $15,000 for a '79-83, less for the '76-'78. Wish list (not necessarily deal breakers): Original motor Original paint (not repainted) Little to no rust Hard top and doors Dependable daily driver Original...

If there is any interest please reply so i can respond to any questions you may have. I hope the old pig finds a good new home.
1978 Custom "WIDE" BJ43
I have a 1978 BJ42 that is 6 inches wider than standard. It was built from the ground up by Paul Pilgrim in Costa Rica. Started in 2010 and completed in 2011. There are some pics of it on IH8Mud, I have several more. The truck has all authentic parts where it could. An aluminum tub, and the B3 Diesel engine. I have had Chris Harden, a local FJ mechanic go through the truck and fix every little thing possible. He had the truck for 4 months and $6,400 later it is perfect. I have installed an original roll bar that was extended to fit correctly. I am asking $34,888.00 for her. She is truly a one of a kind. Feel free to come by and test drive. Thank you, Doc.
1963 FJ45 SWB (Shortbed) $55,000 in Grand Junction,CO
Well, I finally finished it and up for sell is my 1963 FJ45 Short Bed full frame-off, nut and bolt restoration. Spring “Mint” Green paint (only 4 colors were offered this year for the FJ45) with the factory “Coral” seats which have been fully rebuild from the inside, out and have all of the correct factory seams and lines. These are not seats covers that you can just buy from website, but a hand crafted set that was created used an original set as reference. This is the only year FJ45 which had a rear spare tire carrier and is considered to be the rarest land cruiser ever imported to the US. Mostly original with very small, needed upgrades, which include; a re-arch and full length add-a-leaf, 2 inch lift...
FJ45LV Yelm WA $5500
NOT MINE!!!! Found this on the local Craigs List. Looks like its pretty cut up, patched, rotted and dented with a nice rattle(or brush) paint job. Just guessing, but as its in Yelm, the seller may have another one, I had found one(pretty sure it was not this one) in Tacoma years ago, guy that owned it said he had another at his brothers in Yelm 1967 Toyota FJ45 Landcruiser Wagon !RARE,RARE,RARE! - $5500 (Yelm) RARE_RARE_RARE. This is a four door Landcruiser.Very few of these were imported. This one is original except for the spring over lift and a chevy 350 engine. It does need body work as seen in the pics. The price is low to reflect that. When you finish restoring this vehicle you will definitely have something very rare...
Sadly selling a project HJ45 Troopy
If anyone noticed my absence it has been to an ongoing divorce. Sadly, for same said reason I am having to part with my rig. 1979 RHD model from down under. She's been garage kept for the last 2yrs. I had pulled all the wiring and pulled in an EZ wiring harness when the separation began so, that is the state she's in. She was running on "engineered" wiring when I started so she could be back in that condition without a ton of effort. The H motor smokes and likely needs a rebuild. At this point I have to take what I can get. She's in Seymour, TN (outside of Knoxville) if anyone wants a look.
As the title says I have a 1982 BJ 42 for sale. I bought the truck in ontario and then drove it to BC, it was never registered in BC so it still has the Ontario title. The truck ran and drove great until I parked it 9 years ago. I had the intention of resorting it but like all too many, life has gotten in the way. It has been stored indoors since it was parked. The body and frame are in decent shape with no holes, it is not perfect by any means. it does need a new bib (it has a fiberglass bib on it now, but thats not my thing), and i'm sure some other things from sitting for 9 years. Truck is located in Fernie, BC. I have no idea how to post pictures but would be more than happy to e-mail you. Thanks for looking. It has 239000...
FOR SALE 1966 FJ45 LWB Resto project
I have finally resigned myself to part with my 45. I bought this rig in 2001. I drove it for a while, stored it, drove it some more, then started down the road to restoring it. Just isn't happening. The first photo is what it looked like when I bought it. The others are recent. I have everything for the truck; body parts, glass, seats, etc. Motor runs (F, 3 speed on the column) but hasn't been turned over in the last year. Tires are BFG 33x9.5 All Terrain, 4 basically brand new and a matching used spare on Landcruiser rims with hubcaps. Has OME shocks. The truck came to me from Utah. The soft top frame is home made by the previous owner and there is no canvas for it. The three speed shift lever is sheared and won't turn the...
