I have a 1978 BJ42 that is 6 inches wider than standard. It was built from the ground up by Paul Pilgrim in Costa Rica. Started in 2010 and completed in 2011. There are some pics of it on IH8Mud, I have several more. The truck has all authentic parts where it could. An aluminum tub, and the B3 Diesel engine. I have had Chris Harden, a local FJ mechanic go through the truck and fix every little thing possible. He had the truck for 4 months and $6,400 later it is perfect. I have installed an original roll bar that was extended to fit correctly. I am asking $34,888.00 for her. She is truly a one of a kind. Feel free to come by and test drive.

Thank you, Doc.

Sorry Guys, I am a rookie at FJ/BJ community. I love Toyota trucks and found this one, fell in love and bought it. I then spent a bunch of money making it the best I could. Now, I am realizing that a enthusiast should own her. So, I put her up for sale. If she does not sell, I will enjoy her on the weekends. You are correct Mike, I did not know Paul's history but found out on many forums. I tried to delete his name, but can't edit the older post. Yes, I have a clean title in Tennessee for a diesel. Yes, on power steering, Yes on disc brakes in the front, drums in the rear. It is a four speed transmission. The truck is in my climate controlled garage in Knoxville, TN. not in Costa Rica.
