Not mine but looking for anyone that has info on her or cares to give input. Im in the market for 1978-1984 BJ42. Not looking for pristine as I want something to go hunting and fishing and 4wheeling in that is reliable and doesnt need ton of everyday work.
This price high but its typical of todays market. Looks like it was repainted which is bit of concern as she maybe a lipstick queen and probably covering up a lot. Probably to nice for me. Thanks guys.

I am selling this project with TONS of extra parts and ALL the tools I have in my storage unit. Lock stock and barrel.
I have thousands of dollars in tools including air compressor etc.
The engine comes with a turbo, AC bracketry and quite a few hard to find parts. The only major piece missing is a fuel cell. Alternator alone cost me hundreds of dollars for a high amp imported from australia brand new.

Hope I am not breaking the rules here.
I know where to find a bunch and I mean a bunch of FJ43s. Also the occasional FJ45 pickup and Troopie. I looked over some threads to see what value may be these days but it is all over the place.
FYI, these would be imported trucks, obviously. They would come from Latin America. I know how to find tons of them and have a guy on the ground to check them out. My guy is good with a very long history with Japanese 4wds, he and I have been close friends for 10yrs. We could even have engine compression's checked, drag magnets to check for bondo, ect ect. For the most part these would be un-restored trucks. The occasional vehicle may be ex-public works and similar, owned by a church, ect. I know where...

1980 BJ41 (JDM). I bought it in 2009 in New Zeeland and spent a month touring the north and south islands with it. I shipped it back to my home town of Baltimore Ro-Ro and picked it up in Baltimore. It saw lite use there until I decided to take it to South America. In the summer of 2011 it was shipped to Boulder Colorado where my cousin (A Toyota rock crawling advocate and head of a machine shop) spent 3 months converting it to an overland expedition rig...

Rust free Project. mostly complete but original seat and engine are gone. Now has a chevy V8. Original paint. Rear fenderwellls were cut and bent up to make flares. Original metal and rounded wheel lip are there. I think a decent bodyman could fix them back right. Cab, frame, box, etc. are very dry. VIN tag and frame VIN match. Ok so I am considering selling my 1981 bj42 from Canada. I purchased this off a guy in Idaho for $6000.00. I paid $750 to get it shipped to ky. I drove the truck around for about a week and decided to restore it. Unfortunately I have 6 40s and after I dismantled it, it got put on the back burner. I pulled the engine/trans and set to the side. I cut the rear off basically in the middle of the seats. From there back was toast. It has the original floor mats and all the wiring harness. I was going to put a 3/4 tub on it after I sandblasted the frame. It is all piled up here in the shop. I am willing to take reasonable offers as I have too many projects. Up for sale a 1976 fj45 longbox. Org color mustard yellow now bright yellow. Comes with 2 extra doors and 5 split rims . truck needs work but runs great I drove it back from Calgary this year. The reason I'm selling it is 2 weeks after coming back a person posted what is my fj45 worth and that was last year I contacted him and he had it in is garage still I went to look at it only 2 hours from Hamilton Ontario and I bought it. (SOLD PENDING FUNDS) I've come to the conclusion that I need to sell my 1982 BJ42, 4speed, no AC or PS. I imported this truck about a year ago from Italy (what a headache) and I just don't have the time or space for it anymore. To be honest, I've only driven it about 10 miles since the day I rolled it out of the shipping container. As with everything there's good and bad.
