Looking at purchasing BJ42 from BC. Seller claims strong running. Looking for $12,500 ca. I figure about + $1,600 to import into Idaho. Does this sound realistic? Is it possible? Any advice from the mudders out there would be great.

1979 HJ45 Landcruiser Troop Carrier
Due to arrive in Charlotte, NC early next week. Waiting for the container to clear US Customs right now.
Described when purchased as complete and ready for painting. Supposedly everything is with it. It has Air Conditioning which supposedly only needs a compressor installed to make it work. Description said that the engine runs perfectly. This was confirmed at the time of purchase and it starts first go every time. The brakes work well. Described with no rust and my guy said it was very solid.
I don't have very many pictures and the ones I do are not very good. It will be fully photographed once it is in our depot.

This Troopcarrier is in amazing condition for its age. There are a couple of very, very small areas of rust just starting to come out but apart from that this is a solid rig. Frame is excellent as are floors, firewall, "B" pillar and drip rails. Front seats are not factory but in good condition. Rear seats are in good condition. Includes: large roof rack with ladder, bull bar, rear step. It is set up for A/C but there is no compressor etc. There is some under dash equipment in the vehicle.

I bought a 1963 Toyota FJ45 Wagon with pto winch out of Montana about 5 years ago. It had very little rust. I started with the body work and with the help of a 70 year old metal worker we replaced the few spots of rust. As that was going on I had a mechanic that did work for me start on the rest. I did all the brakes around and a carb rebuild, painted rims and put brand new tires on it. Didnt want to use the old gas in the tank so got her running off a gallon gas tank. Unfortunately the old man working on the body passed away and the truck took a back seat to other projects. Original frame off restoration by Owl Ridge 2010. I purchased in Toronto in 2011 and brought truck to what I wanted in terms of completion with the help of several mechanics in the Ottawa area. I drive it all summer at the lake and it is a good runner. Time to move on as I have to many other toys to work with at this point. Could be maintained and driven as is or someone could take the time to bring it back to showroom condition. Had one of the forum members Ambrew over to have a look today so he might be able to give his opinion on the rig if one were to ask.
