Wanted Nonrunning FJ40 near DFW

I'm looking for a non running FJ40 as a project vehicle. Preferably with a fair to good frame and body. Doesn't need to be perfect, but a good basis to start. I'd rather not do mostly rust repairs....

Bump. Still keeping my eye out. My idea is that the truck could have a seized or no engine.

Budget depends on the vehicle. I'm aiming for about $2500 or less.

For the year range I'd like 76+ with disc brakes up front. The newer the better. This would be a long term diesel conversion project, purely for my enthusiasm. I'm willing to wait for the right deal to come around and have been looking locally too. All of the stuff local has been selling for double but are drivable.

Yep at that budget you will have to get very lucky to beat all the competition around ya

I have bought 2 rigs so dar here around DFW that match your description but not that budget seems like a somewhat decent complete non running 76 plus still is north of 4k around here

Or, I can spend 3-5k and buy a decent Fj45 truck (what I really want) in Guatemala and drive it back. That'd be more fun anyway! But the boss lady wants a 40.

You need to get on the one from Guatemala been into these since 89 in NE Texas...... Only ones that fit your criteria were long gone years ago......
