You should be fine on Spike, there was one with us last year the did well.

Have talked about the prerun but no plans, too early?

we are in :bounce:

signed up for:

Thursday: Golden Spike (alternates Poison Spider or Kane Creek)
Friday: Wipe-Out Hill (alternates Kane Creek or Fins 'n Things)
Saturday: Hell's Revenge (alternates Metal Masher or Poison Spider)

I have also offered up our help with Volunteering

if someone else is so inclined, we would be interested in the overnight run into the San Rafael Swells since we have never been there :D (AFAIK, the overnight runs usually don't book out, so I figured we could change our registration later if necessary)

and if we are carrying camping gear anyway, we would have a strong interest in running White Rim as an overnight run before Cruise Moab :bounce:

I got all my choices confirmed today :bounce:

Received my registration. Trail runs are as follows:
Thurs. 1- Golden Spike
2- Porcupine Rim

Fri. 1- Poison Spider
No alternates

Sat. 1-Wipe Out Hill
No alternates.

I know last year some folks were able to trade some of the trail assignments around, so post up what you got. Looking forward to a great time with y'all.

I finally had the cash to register today. I signed up for the night run wednesday night, thursday choice is only chicken corners. I guess I have to wait to get confirmed on all my choices for Friday and Sat., is that how it works? Also, does anyone know anything (good or bad) about the Inca Inn?

Thursday Golden Spike

Friday Wipe-Out Hill

Saturday Hell's Revenge

Nope, have driven by it. Single story is a plus, further north than I prefer, but close to skum rock.

Last year we stayed at the Bowen, worked well, for Moab I prefer old school type places. You end up spending little time there and a lot of it is loading/unloading the rig, so being able to park close is a plus, schlepping all of your junk through a huge hotel twice a day sucks. I prefer downtown, close to Zak's.

IMHO, in room refrigerator (precool drinks/lunch for the next days run) and continental breakfast (cuts out one stop in the mad dash to get to the trail head on time) are a must. Are you coming to the meet tonight?

Bowen Motel ? hotels in Moab, UT > Home

yup, handicapped and all.

we are staying where Blazer folks found it plush :hillbilly: Aarchway Inn

hey, i wanted to know if the people who are leaving for Moab on the 25th of April have any routes planned or what trails are going to be drivin on the way there. Also has anyone thought about reserving the hotels before hand or is the plan to wing it? Looks like everything is coming together for me, have someone coming to buy my Dakota on Friday so I will have the lift and tires and also my wife got approval for all the day off so I can run with the crew, there and back. Im stoked!!
