I'm quite happy with the Metabo I picked up last year.

Milwaukee..................

Between White Shark & I we own five. 2 corded 3 cordless.
The only thing I use the cordless for it seems like is for cutting abs/pvc pipe & mybe a few other misc. jobs here and there.

I use the corded 12amp for demo just due to the power and speed. I would never miss the cordless if I had to chose between the two.

Others I've owned were an old AEG and a Makita. Both finally gave it up, but not before they were pounded on.

I thought that old Makita was still kicking around?...

Okay, maybe not.

I've had my Milwaukee since '73 and it has always worked. Roofing, flooring, renovation and cast iron sewage lines.

I've used both the Milwaukee and the DeWalt and i'll never use anything but the DeWalt ever again. Nothing wrong with the Milwaukee, just personal preference.

Love my dewalt, have a 110V one and the 18V battery one...

Your right it is, TT has it.

Ok I stand corrected the Makita is still running. It was gifted to a Bro-in-law.

i have this c - tire reciprocating saw, will cut through 3"s of 3/8" plate in about 2 mins, truck frames less than 4 mins with the right blade. it's awesome! must be built by dewalt.

for me, the reciprocating saw is one of those tools i just love to use. :grinpimp:

Looks like I am getting a Milwaukee!! :)

I have an old school Makita. It has been a solid reliable tool. I wont replace it until it dies. Makita brand these days are not what they used to be. Much like the SKILL brand.

If I were buying new....it would be Millwakee personally.

If is has a plug, it should say Bosch! ;)

My favorite, but most of the reliable brands would do just fine.

Have fun!

I went through two Bosch drills in less than two years and gave up hope on them. Having owned European cars I always felt good buying something with Bosch written on it, until these two crappy drills. I bought a Dewalt and it has served me well for two years now of almost daily use.
