A few quick questions please:

Do all 200s have 2nd row sliding seats? If not what year did that start?

Is the 2nd row legroom and space a bit better than the 100? If so, by how much?

We will have two car seats with Mom in the middle. Mom isn't super comfortable in the middle of the 100 second row seat.

Thanks!

Two adults up front, kids and a mother in law in the back.... trip to the beach, 9 hr drive, no complaints. Kids 6,8. Have carried 4 kids and two adults many many times. Three booster seats work fine in the second row.

No car seats, but my wife and I took 4 kids, a bunch of luggage, and a bike to Cruise Moab. A bit snug, but manageable.

@jblatl Does your 200 have sliding 2nd row seats? Do you know what year that started or is it in all 200s?

With the 2nd row slid all the way back is there more legroom than in your 100?

To the best of my knowledge, only the LX 2nd row seats slide. They simply fold down and forward on the LC, but the LX has a power slide feature for the 2nd row.

'16+LC definitely have a sliding 2nd row. Just not sure what year that started...

My 2008 second row seats slide front and back about 8 inches.

Awesome! It's an LC right? I am trying to convince my wife to give up her Sequoia for a 200. She really likes the extra space in the 2nd row of the Sequoia vs. our 100 series. With a 2 year old and another on the way she spends a lot of time in the 2nd row.

@mcgaskins - Yes the whole seat slides. Go out to your truck now, it'll be like Christmas in July! (Except for the fact that this probably isn't an important feature to you at all. In which case it'll be like Christmas in July, and getting a pair of lame socks from your Aunt)

You're right on both counts! :D my second row is always covered, and I presumed if there was a sliding function you could see it from the side like in the LX. I never even looked or cared to see if there was a handle in FRONT of the seat, but sure enough it's there! My boxer will be thrilled that he can not only recline the seats while getting his butt warmed or blast the AC onto his face from numerous vents back there while watching his fav DVD, but now he can slide said seat backwards and forwards! Kidding aside, it's cool it does that even though I don't have a use for it, although I suppose I could slide them a little forward to use as storage between the seats and the front of the ARB drawers.

They do slide in 2008 LC. It helps with cargo Tetris..

I had a 2010 Sequoia before I bought my 2013 LC, there is a LOT more room in the second row of the Sequoia than in the LC. It's going to be a tough sell to talk your wife out of the Sequoia.

HTH

Road trips with 1,2&3 year olds. 3 adults, Cargo box on roof and on the trailer hitch. Smooth sailing brah!

We have three boys 14, 12 and 9 and two 200's. My wife's does most of the duty for running kids around. We have a large Thule torpedo for the top for long trips. Coming from 15 Expedition EL. Frankly she misses the space and we are having discussions about a new Sequeoia or the brand new Expedition EL. Kids all play baseball and we all ski and snowboard on the weekend. She loves her LC and we take the 350 when we need a lot of space. For 90 percent of the running around we do the LC is perfectly fine for the five of us.

Reviving an old thread here. We recently had our 2nd boy (both under 3) and my wife's GX470 is far too cramped.

Thinking about buying a 16+ LC but i want to be able to put a car seat behind the drivers seat and I'm 6'3" would that be too tight? I can't make it work in my 80 or her gx470

Im 6'3 and Ive been driving a 200 with kid in car seat behind me for years. Its not ideal, but its not too tight.

We have 3x car seats in the middle. Not ideal, but it works. I'm 6'/200 and have the seat most of the way back.
