Thanks man.. It was a great trip.. I am itching to get back on the road to be honest. I will potentially have the summer off and plan on hitting the road for 2-3 months. We stopped posting a lot on expo portal bc we just got caught up in the moment but I am glad people out there were enjoying the pics and small reads

I have always been a fan of the BFG all terrain. I always wanted to have an aggressive looking tire (MT) but could never justify driving down the road humming on mud terrains so it looked cool and I could do good on the mud what small percentage I am in it. Like many, I like to dream that I spend 80 percent of the time off road but the truth is that is more like 90 to 10... 90 being on the pavement, being that the car I play with is my DD. BFG did an awesome job with the all terrain K02 in my opinion. They have been performing awesome in the snow and because the k02 have sidewall tread, airing down and having extra traction is now a possibility unlike the original k0. There are probably better tires out there for the snow alone, or for the mud alone, or for the road alone, but being that the ko2 addressed the sidewall issue with the k0 I am stoked to have these on.

I love blasting down snowy mountain roads in my Cruiser. Alaska must be truly epic for that. Your pics make me want to go.

Wow, what a shame to see that many cruisers just ditched in a row. If I were you I would be haulin those home with me, one by one. An excuse to go buy a trailer , and maybe a winch too!

Bitter sweet day.Ordered a set of shocks, steering damper and tie rod kit for my FJ60. Today I got the Package. My front shocks match my heavy springs like I ordered, but my rear shocks came for stock/light load unlike my rear medium springs like I ordered. I got part 60062 and not 60065 like it calls for on the reference guide at ARB USA http://www.arbusa.com/uploads/PDF/accessorizeYourRig/toyotaLandCruiser60.pdf. After forking out just about 700$ I'm pretty bummed out. I have heard nothing but good things about Cruiser outfitters and Kurt on this site so hoping this will have a happy ending. Today is Sunday so I'll have to wait.....

Well looks like even on a Sunday Kurt takes care of costumers, here is what he replied to my inquire from his experience with 60s

"So while I can't answer your exact inquiry from home, I can note a couple things. We use ourparts application guide rather than ARB's, while their application guide is fairly accurate, our guide is based off of the thousands of OME kit's we've setup and the OME kit's we run on our own personal rigs. The 60062 is our recommended shock for the "medium" rear springs (take not ARB used to call their CS017R medium and just recently renamed them stock/light) and the 60065 for the heavy and heavy plus applications. They are just too firm on a medium (CS017R) spring. Hope that helps. Please reach out to us at the shop (contact above) via phone OR email if you would like to discuss this further. Thank"

Sounds good to me if that is what the shop has been doing. Shocks are going on and we wil see how the ride is

Glad you enjoyed the posts and pictures. Its pretty rad up here. Not staying here for good but def a cool experience to be here for a couple of years. I am trying to think of a way that I could make some side money setting up and affordable way for overland minded individuals to be able to enjoy Alaska during the summer without having to make the 6k mile round trip from the Canadian boarder. Maybe build two overland rigs and rent them out and picking people up at the airport with them. Just a thought. Hope you get to see Alaska at some point
