INSTALLED PICS ARE AT THE BOTTOM....

Ok... it's not as creative as the hole in the ashtray, however I think turned out really nice. I wasn't brave enough to cut the one in my cruiser so I found a center console at a wrecking yard for $65.00 and cut it up.

My posts always seem to suck, so hopefully this one will interest ya'll. Lots of pics:grinpimp:

A Few More. I haven't installed it into the cruiser yet, but I know it will have will work very nice. There will still be a small Hideaway cubbie hole underneith the cupholder.

Pretty inventive mate, you must love your cupholders!

Not Really just tired of cleaning up the mess everytime my coffee spills in the center console. Unfortunately I almost always have coffee, water, or soda with me. My :princess: complains when I make her hold my drinks also........

I think it will look better once, I bolt it into the truck. I am getting my seats re-covered this week, so I may have him use some of the old grey leather to cover it instead of black. Won't be as obvious then.

Way to think outside "the cupholder box". Please post some pics installed and covered in gray.

Got it installed tonight. I could have done a better job on the front corners. However when you are in the truck you barely notice them. The holders won't accomodate a big gulp...... but I never use that big of cups anyway.

This will work great for what I need and the only thing I lost is 4 coin holders and a junk collector...

I think I can get more of the holders is anyone is interested!!!!

looks good
if you were to recover the cupholder part in grey, it would blend in even better

Very nice. It took some guts to cut the factory plastic piece!

No Kidding.... but I wasn't that brave.. I found one in a junk yard and cut it up. Mine is still nice and unmolested!!! :grinpimp::skull:

Aw come on Flank.... I was trying to get interest in this so I can become the next landtank and get a few of my toys paid for...
Then you throw in this cheap ass version..... man.. what a buzz kill :grinpimp::cheers:

 No cockblock intended. Your mod is functional and holds TWO cups, mine only holds one lonely little cup. The :princess: still has to hold her own. I did not want to chop the consul, but no doubt if guys are willing to cut the back end off the 80 to make a convertible, chopping the consul is given about as much thought as picking your nose.

We can co-exist.

Not a problem..... just messing with ya. I had this piece lying around and my son stuck on the center console and the brain started ticking and voila!! I can get more of them though....

I definitely wasn't brave enough to cut my own:eek:

:flipoff2:

That is a really clever idea! Where did you get the cup holder from?
I wish my :princess: held her own cup once in awhile :p

This cupholder was originally designed to be used in place of the ashtray in 1968-1972 Chevrolet Blazers. I took the bolts off the plastic piece that goes into the ashtray and then cut to fit.... measure 3 times before cutting. Take your time on the front corners. You can get them from LMC Trucks for $45.00. It is called the "Ashtray Drink Holder" in their catalog.

I'll give you a 9 for the idea and a 6.5 for the execution.
