Hey guys, thought I would show the cheap easy cup holder i just "fabbed" for my center consul.

My 95 80 is my DD, and I am a salesman that drives a lot. (Insert gas mileage joke here...) I like to keep the truck organized - place for cell phone, sunglasses, iPod, etc. A place for my coffee. Is that too much to ask? A place for the friggin' 20 oz cup of Joe. Preferably without spilling. Have not invested in the $55 dash insert cup holder yet.

Around my showroom, we have these durable plastic pieces that hold big rolls of paper with 3" core for printing securely and safely inside boxes. I always hated throwing them out, and had started to recycle them, until one day I turned one over. It was just about the size of a soda can or bottom of a cup of Starbucks. I snagged a few and took them to the garage.

10 minutes later, i have something to fit in my center consul box that will (hopefully) keep my beloved coffee from spilling in the morning forcing me to swear and have to compulsive about cleaning out the little friggin coin holders...

Here are some pics. I will post more posts, as I can only post 3 at a time.

More pics:
Cut with power mitre saw with finishing blade. Front section angled at 15 Deg to match slope of consul. Sides fit tight for no play. I probably could have measured a bit better on length, but I have more pieces to re-do it if I need to.

Still more: two sizes to choose from, probably need to cover the white one with some sort of veneer to make it look like it took more than 10 min to make :whoops:
Starbucks cup fits great!

NICE!!

That could be helpful for many.

nice. now you need to send those odd plastic parts to all interested Mudders since I doubt we can find those around.... :D

(and whatever you do, don't damage the little OEM cubby carpet, these are collectible! :)

I'll see if I can get my hands on some more in the near future. If so, I am open to sending out the roll holders to anyone who wants them. Reduce, REUSE, recycle.

Nice job turning the factory beverage spiller into an actual beverage holder!:D

I lost mine when I installed a Lexus center console, but regained another.

E, I never knew that was OEM! I sent mine off with the center console to a fellow Mudder...

I collected about a half dozen of these parts if anyone wants them to do this themselves.

Those dudes at Toyota new what they were doing making it a perfect size to hold a 44 oz Diet Coke from the local SEV.

x2. Except Diet Coke is nasty. :flipoff2:

I like. I also work for a printer with large format proofers, so I'll be hunting around to see if I have any of those.

Wow, that is a clean interior!

Thanks,

Picked up this 95 in January - was a one owner truck in Texas, and had just had 3 rows of new leather seating put in. That sold the wife...
