Thanks Pete. Hows yours coming along. Havent heard any updates lately.

Hi Ken
Bogged down with customers getting in the way of my project.
The wire loom has taken a lot more time than I could ever guess.
Lights ,horn , blinkers and all the other Toyota electrics now work.
Air con now in and wired.
Waiting on the guy from wild cat headers to measure up a set of out side chassis pipes .
I designed a cool looking battery case so I suppose I can post a photo to keep the interest up.
Back to china next week. So project to be put on hold.
Cheers

Hi Ken
I need inspiring.
Got any recent photos .
Also what ever happened to the bush find you were going to try and retrieve ?
Cheers Peter

No more pics after the ones that I put up with the motor and brake lines. As for the old girl up in the bush I think that it will end up staying there until there is nothing left of her as there is far too much effort required for very little gain to get her out :(. How come you are needing inspiration Pete yours looks like it is coming along well.

Hi Ken
Need inspiration.
That what China does to you.
Watching other people's builds just gives me a good feeling and your build is coming along so well.
Looking forward to catching up hopefully later this year.
I will stay tuned for your next lot of photos.
Cheers Peter

Got the word today that the engine is finished and ready to be picked up. Having it transported up to Cooktown on Saturday. Final cost of full rebuild was $4500.00. Will post pics when I get it back up here.

Also got given these pics by the PO when Jade was still running around Cooktown in the mid 80's

Not that I am aware of Pete. Do you know Linda. She is a legend

Hi Ken
Linda Rowe author of Paradise Found.
Now that's one great book about the Cape and I believe they( Linda and Ken ) were driving a new 60 series.
I have spoken to Linda and would like to share a Coffey together.
It's an Author to Author thing.
Cheers

Well tried to get a bit done today seeing how its raining cats and dogs at the moment up here. We got the engine fitted and then went to fit the gearbox and transfer case which is where we ran into dramas. it would appear that when you buy a clutch kit they dont give you the spiggot/pilot bearing to go onto the end of the imput shaft so that was it for the day :( :( :(

Lol. Note to self don't clean screen while looking at the forum. I was actually P$&&ED off as I wanted to get the gearbox, transfer cave and front and rear tail shafts in as well today. Would have been done to except for the pilot bearing.
