I saw that thing driving around! I remember thinking "surely that's not an Xterra roof rack on an 80."
He probably had an Xterra rack laying around, and after a few hours of drinking beer thought "...yeah, I could make that work...and then I'll go breed my Chihuahua to my Doberman...that'll be a winning combo too!"

Stock rack mounts rusted out, needed new rack.
It is pretty close to hideous. I've never been a fan of chrome windcatchers on anything. This is not quite that, but just bad breeding.
If you're gonna run one, run one that will hold a decent load.
I saw this the other day on CL. The sad thing is, other than the hideous rack and high asking price, it appears to be in great shape. 125k and factory lockers.

WELL WELL WELL, Everyone just relax LOL. I'm the one who purchased this cruiser and guess where it is right now? At the body shop having the rack removed, the holes plugged and repainted. 
))) Terrible idea whoever defaced this off road beast, sucks I have to pay to have it repaired. Other than that, this cruiser is in perfect shape. This is my first cruiser and I'm fully invested and excited to be a part of the club. I have always been a Jeep man but Christo talked me into joining the cruiser clan.
First thing I did was throw in a supercharger and will be arming it in the next month. Still haven't narrowed down a rack that I like. Sure love the ARB full rack but I would like an option for the sunroof to not be covered.
