1.) If testing running voltage at the battery; 12.5 at idle is low- should be closer to 13.1-13.3 warm (or higher).
2.) Easy to determine if battery is weak or bad cell with a tester, CCA, as well as charging system health.
3.) Check for parasitic draw: many youtube videos on how to do this with a simple multi meter. Since you now have one you can do this yourself. Connect in line between negative post and negative cable and monitor for 30 min as the amp draw should diminish a little as systems shut down over the course of 30 min. Goal is 50mA or less. If you have higher amp draw than 50mA after 30 min, then you can test fuses in the engine room fuse box to isolate which circuit is drawing the amps. Overhead DVD is often a culprit.
4.) Check all of your cable ends and ground points for corrosion, including battery posts, clean or upgrade/replace.
I noticed more draw with the auto headlight setting on. Since my 100 is only driven once or twice a week, I don't use auto anymore, I just turn on the headlights as needed. I can hover around the same voltage for a week or a little more when I turn off the auto headlight.I haven't experienced a draw yet but, I have read before that if your LX still has the OEM CD changer that can cause a draw because it is trying to eject a CD.
Also, I have heard the Auto headlight sensor can cause a draw too (if vehicle is not cranked for an extended period)
If u have an overhead dvd screen, check to see that there is no dvd in the rear player. Even if ejected and left in place, it will continually try to eject it. Had this issue myself.
