Dargreg,

You get that 2006 Ranger boot from the junkyard or do you have a part number for it. Just what I need for my h55f setup. :grinpimp:

Yes, it is normal on a Chevota coversion to bend the shift lever away from the heater, our instructions illustrate this.
We offer a big boot to cover the big hole, it's metal retainer ring can conform to the curvature in the floor. Actually you can get one of these from your home town parts store!!
We also carry another type of boot for the 4WD shift lever, but it's not shown on our website.

An FJ60 top cover plate for the tranny moves the shifter tower back 3.5" on the transmission, so it would just about center it in your unmodified tranny tunnel. No big boot covering a butchered hole, and no hacking the heater.

as for the t-case shifter, use a little heat, bend it up to exit back further. might take 1 hour total time.

the fj 60 top plate is the whole top of the transmission shifter tower and all it works great i had it like that in mine till i swapped to a 465 now its sitting in the back yard
Did Toyota use different trannys in the 40 and 60, or are they the same transmission with different top plates?

Well I have the top plate coming regardless so let's reserve judgement until it is in. I'm so pissed at my rig I may sell it before I can finish.

Be sure and post a fillow up- with pics- when you do the swap. Also, at the risk of being nosey, what did you pay for the 60 top ate and where did you find itr?
