well, i stuck an elec locker frotn diff into the Tractor since i had it on the shelf and since the old one needed a full rebuild.
i install, turn on the elec locking hubs and... nothing. WTH?
i pull off the outers and inspect the little motors... yep working fine.
i check the front drive shaft, yep, engaged.
WTH?
ah ha, broken birf.
i pull the ones side apart and found my first broken inner shaft in 30 years of wheeling. damn, thats cool.
i go yank out a brand new 40 inner and it is too long, damn again. so i pull the old diff apart and remove the inner and install with new Toyota birf.
test and nothing, WHAT?
can't be, other birf is busted.
i pull the other side apart and find...
another broken inner, 2 broken inners on the same axle.... WOW!! this is my lucky day.
luckily i have a brand new long splined inner sitting on the shelf with another brand new Toyota birf...
i will have to see if i can get any warranty on this diff since i never ever used it...
nice way to start the weekend off.
cheers
