not to get anal, but it says decent tyres, i have 235s m/s (roughriders), they are small but have aggressive thread, and i am very comfortable wheeling in them and have before. by decent you dont mean size?

also i should have my winch wired up by then and i always carry recovery gear and shovel(s) and have 3 tow points in the front if i get stuck in case 'other wise your truck might have to be left in the bush'.

try saying that in a one breath

i will let FJ62 post the directions.

decent meaning NOT BALD, i have seen stockers with good street tires perform some amazing feats when "Moosing it" through a tough spot.

Hey guys,

Sorry I haven't been online in awhile - most of my computer time has been trying to finish a course I am taking (it ends the day we leave for the WSSR) and let the record show time is tight. As well as that I am trying to get some work done on a few projects my Father-in-Law and I have been waiting for the Spring to get going on at the cabin - trying to get as much done before you guys get there as possible so it isn't a complete construction site. Actually, I will likely be there this weekend to work on things so I will not be at the meeting in all likelyhood - sorry but time is tight to get things done and my better half is "suggesting" that I get to it.

I will send directions to those who are coming to the WSSR - rather not post them up for the world to invite themselves over.

Lost - We are on a small lake - so yes there is a fishin' hole - you are welcome to have at it.

Will post more later.

hey, sleeping in a construction site is still better than out with the bugs!!

here is my email for direction:
wayne@crushersrule.com

thanks buddy

BTW, i would be into helping you on the cabin but i have the HZJ40 to finish ASAP.

my tires are no where near bald
i have some new 35x12.5 mtrs but they wont fit :(

seweet! i always carry my rods around, im guessing its a pike/walleye judging by the area? which lake is it.

as for the construction site sleeping; i am quite accustomed to sleeping in my truck, this year i have not even unrolled my tent once, and been upnorth many time already

No worries Wayne - but I appreciate the offer.

Part of the set back has been dealing with the PO's "inventive" plumbing and carpentry skills. We found out that one of the pipes in the shower wasn't even soldered - ask me how we found out...

Looking forward to a weekend up there WITHOUT work (well inside type work anyways...)

Yup, Pike and Walleye - unfourtunately I haven't done as much fishing as I would have liked too due to the building process - usually too bagged by the end of the day to go troll the lake, that and we have only had the place for just over a year but the place is really starting to come together (unlike my Cruiser which is feeling a little neglected right now as a result of all the time and $$ going into the cabin - oh well maybe I will find a Money Tree up there sometime).

It shouldn't be too much of a construction sit after the next two weekends my father in law and I are going to try and get as much done as we can.

Oh man how I procrastinate!!!

Geared up to go... buttoning up the bits & pieces. Alas, no turbo and STILL havn't fixed the exhaust from last time! I DO have a rear storage/sleep area and new veggie tank so that is a definite bonus.

May have recruited another Cruiser to come from Kingston, Met another Mudder today with an HJ60 - OME lifted with a huge RTT. He is in the process of building a rear drawer system, nicely done. I'll point him in the direction of this thread, and hopefully he can tag along. Would be great learning for him as he plans on doing the "south america" trip leaving next fall (What a bastard I am so jealous!), and does not have much experience with being on off "roads".

Anywhoo - things are looking up - Watching facebook I see ROM might even be joining us?

once again, just to reiterate, mandatory equipment:
PROPER tow points front and rear
good brakes
decent tires.
FSR would be nice.

good attitude

and you are ready to join in, stockers are fine. sometimes the best fun can be with a stocker rig...

PROPER tow points front and rear

Found one of my two front hooks today Wayne, it's in the garage with the bolts waiting to go on (ran out of daylight!)

No let downs for you this time - I'll have about 25 tow points. :D

Well my company turned down my request for vacation =[ as they are to everyone right now. I think they are trying to get people to quit. treating everyone like an extra large piece of dirt  so right now I still have to work on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Now I can only call in sick 2 days in a row so looks like I might be showing up late around 4am on friday night! or is that saturday morning?

and as of right now my spare, roof rack and winch are sitting in my garage up north and you guys complained about my front tow point (which did hold when I slipped off the road) So I will have to put a hook on there too!

ahhh busy week but I will be there can't wait! :bounce:

Looking Forward to seeing everyone!

is anyone bringing :princess:? mine was thinking of coming

Matt

doesnt the front of the frame have a nice hole where you can put a nice d-shackle?
i have a nice sling that can be attached almost any way...and i got a nice little winch in case anything.

hey boys! well, we're still in montana, town called wolf point in an inn after 10 hours on the road, thank god for wireless here, i'm a little caught up.

anyway, it's gonna be real tight, plus the 40 still has it's own things to iron out, plus i gotta figure out how to get it up there, don't have flat tow gear ready, i suck!

anyway, had to add 3 days to our trip in the island, i might just get home friday if we're lucky ( n change the oil on the 80 and take that if i have to.)

will do my best!!!

if i or any other late comers make it out, could directions to which trail be posted at the cabin?

when is everyone planning on showing up?

I'm going to saunter up on Friday, just taking my time and enjoying the drive at my own speed. My friend Sean (Pathfinder from the November run) will be meeting me up there later with his friend Luke, both will be trail riding with me in the R.O.M.

New shoes for the rear drums, sorting out my winch plus some new rear tow points will be addressed prior to me heading up.

Looking forward to all the faces.

my buddy want to know if he can come up for the weekend with his bj80. is that ok?

BJ80?? ummm sure as long as he has the required equipment...
