Just waiting on my TJM T17 bumper and an alignment to wrap up the repair!
Replaced front ahc shocks, driver side UCA, inner and outer tie rods. New headlamps with trim color-matched and grill repainted. Also got a spare wheel.
In the end I was left with 5k in my pocket.

Not sure if your gonna paint the metal trim under the lights black before your front bumper install, but if you are, you can do it now.

It does to some people, some don't mind seeing their paint color behind the bumper. You can look up some pictures on the SLEE and Dissent installed front bumper threads to see if it bothers you.

A few years back, I went thru a similar situation with mine. I felt your pain. The not knowing for a period of time sux.

How do those aftermarket headlamps compare to the factory?

I cant find if you said it or not but what headlights did you go with? I'm looking for a set for my truck now

Also available in black.

How do these compare performance wise over oem?

I have a set of the black ones in our 99 LX, as a temporary fix for an OE headlight that identifies as an aquarium.

The beam pattern isn’t great, and the range of adjustment really isn’t adequate, but the pair is marginally better than just one OE light.

Finally installed! Small detail to work on but overall happy!

CarID and took about a month.
I just got the same one installed from Bumper Superstore. I'm not sure if mine is misaligned, but doesn't seem level and looks similar to your pics - one side seemed "smushed" over the other (under the headlights). I thought about shoving a screwdriver would fix it, but don't want to mess it up. Did you have any minor fixes after ur install? thx

Had a shop install it. My grill and lower trim piece is what is not installed properly. No issues with bumper.

Did whoever installed it trim the metal bracket under the headlights? If not it won’t sit back far enough and have some strange gaps. There will always be a small gap in the middle of the bumper.

Nice! Way to see it through. Provided nobody's hurt, insured accidents are opportunities. Looks like you took advantage of yours. :)
