dsa,
This may not be the same 62 because this wasn't owned by a couple. I came across this in January of this year and bought it 2 weeks later. Hardly know the lady. Sure wouldn't say we are close. It had not been advertised for sale. The lady really didn't want to sell it but it was just sitting and she needed the money. I'll be the first to admit that mine needs some work but there aren't many out there that don't. Sure there are some that are in pristine condition. Were they that way when they were bought? Most of them were not. I would argue that part of the "fun" in having a cruiser is working on it and making it nice. I think of it as an investment. When it's right and IF I ever sell it you can bet it will go for more than the $2k I paid for it or the $3k that was on the one you wanted to buy. You may say it's a POS (and it's not) but it's my first cruiser and I'm damn proud to own it and drive it!!
Would LOVE to find a pig to work on. Keep your eyes peeled for a cheap one.
Whoa there, steady on mate. I'm not sure you know what you're letting yourself in for here.
Best talk to your therapist a bit about this leaning. He might be able to steer you to the appropriate 12 step group.
At least read through a few hundred pages of FJ55 Resto posts.

dsc,
If this is the cruiser, the lady never mentioned to me about another buyer. I would never undercut anyone over anything. And I am not saying you are accusing me of that. I agree that it is wrong to agree to sell something to someone and then back out. If that was the case, then I'm sorry. But I had nothing to do with it. I wish you the best.![]()
