That little diagnostic cap on the engine harness snapped off and disappeared on me when I went to check my timing, the FIRST and only time I did it.

I've been using a nitrile glove to keep it clean since. I wish I could find something better.

Should have updated those thread as well. The smog numbers pre and post-turbo are looking very very hopeful. Truck goes in tomorrow to SEMA. The post numbers up top and pre on bottom.

I’m not a smog tech, but I noticed the Hydro carbons went slightly higher, but still in tolerance. Are you running a oil separator?

Currently am not. I have to wait until after the testing to install one.

Im wondering if that’s what might be causing the little higher HC’s. Trivial though.

HCs higher? Previous test is on bottom; second test is first pic. Looks lower to me. Am I reading it wrong? Dont have these test in Florida.

Acquired an auxiliary fuel tank for *I think* the turbo truck. Haven’t decided yet. Gave my brother something to do so I can work on other stuff. Had him remove the fuel pick up/sock and the fuel float/sender. Turned out it came out easily despite how things looked. Little bit of fuel inside but otherwise looked fairly clean. Now I gotta decide if I should paint it or have it powder coated. Decisions. 🤔

That's a diesel tank. You can fit a petrol sending unit to get a tranfer pump shut off signal.

IME once powder coat starts to fail rust can creep underneath and there's no way to touch it up. What does the factory use, catalyzed Epoxy paint??

This will help probably zero people but I needed it. I acquired an auxiliary fuel tank for my turbo LX450 and it was in pretty rough shape but all usable. I figured I’d just clean it all up and put it back together. Quick test of the transfer door on the inlet seemed smooth. Turns out, too smooth. The door pin on the transfer door was sheared. The pull action worked but the door didn’t move. It took disassembling the entire thing apart so that the broken pieces of the pin could be extracted. Then it was time to measure and machine a new pin. This is only usable for diesel Toyota truck owners or those that use OEM tanks as auxiliary fuel tanks. It came out great though 😜

Evaporust is my new favorite thing...I'd love to see how it would clean up that rust.

Just spray it with phosphoric acid and paint it! Lol.
