No way would I be putting used on at this point.
Did not know whether they were still available new. And if not, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference after you were done with it. :)

Time to work on doing up a badass set of battery cables for the Turbo Test Mule. Trying to decide if I stay the same stuff I’ve been using or look into changing it up a bit. Not sure how much more I can improve on the cables 🤔

My battery cables are a little rough, but functional right now. The lead battery terminals are abused from years of service.

It is on my list of things that need to be helped, but the cost has kept me from jumping when other things need help sooner.

Its not really round, its square. Its just the fuse/relay section is round. But the Bussman is longer and taller. Although its rated at 400A combined, it splits the available outputs to dedicated amp ranges. The Littlefuse one doesn't do that. I can select any amperage up to 30. It seems they all limit their circuits to 30A.
You have a model or P/N on that puppy?

Was trying to decide on a new main battery, I pulled the trigger on Northstar. It’s the maker of the X2 battery so why not go to the source. These guys were formally from Odyssey and stated their own game. I settled on the 27F until I decide more on my electrical needs.

Well it arrived today and I’m about to get a quick lesson in support from Northstar. I hope it goes well.

The battery showed up like this. It doesn’t seem to be a shipping issue based on the how the post isn’t correctly pressed into the plastic. Is it likely fine? Sure. Can I easily just make the needed repair/adjustment to get it to look right? Probably. But instead I think that for the money < $400, it should be perfect.

New OEM battery box has arrived. Not that I couldn’t refurb the old box but I have other plans for it.

Also, Northstar requested a few specific photos so hopefully that gets remedied toot sweet.

Picked up new dipstick and tube. The old tube was all corroded at the point where it goes into the oil pan. And yes, of course I’m going to yellow zinc the tube. Come on now! 🤩

A true enthusiast would also plate the things that normally can't be seen like the dipstick.
Slacker.... :flipoff2:
