Too far north. Too far east.
I went last year and picked up a few things (SWR meter, antenna connectors.) I looked high and low for the microphones that Shawn was looking for but no luck on those.

When they say it starts at sunrise, they mean it. I got there before 7AM last year and there were a lot of people already there and most of the vendors were already set up.

Did you pick up the SWR meter for a HAM radio? If so, I'd like to check my readings :D

I thought a CB SWR meter would also work on HAM. If so, I have one of those.

Negatory...wrong freq  CB SWR meters are set for 3-30mHZ.

We need 144 and 440 mHZ.

these things always happen when i'm working or out of town! actually, i can probably go before work, since it starts so early.

10M and 11M are also HAM bands but most HAMS won't go to 11M for obvious reasons.

I am pretty sure the one that I used says it covers up to 144MHz but I'm not sure if it covers 70cm (440MHz). I will have to dig it up and the little documentation that I downloaded from the 'net. It does work on 2M though I don't know how accurate it is. I checked my antenna install but I didn't need to change anything... or, more accurately, the SWR was close enough that I decided not to change anything.

I will try to find it tonight.

Are mobile HAM antennas tunable, or are you just checking the efficiency of the install? I know my CB antenna is tunable.

I am not sure. I was checking the install.

Yes, I believe they are tuneable like CB antennas; same principle applies here.

... documentation ...

Good idea. I pulled mine and the cover says "CB/Ham Field-Strength SWR Meter." But then the specifications page says "Frequency Range 3-30MHz." Ham yes, but certainly out of range for a Technician license.

Is anybody planning on going?

I'm a maybe....

Did anybody go?

i was there early and left about 7:35. didn't find anything i was looking for.
