I have a 1994 FZJ80 for sale. Price Drop: $5,900 OBO

233K mi

I purchased this 80 in January of 2018 bone stock. I drove it until November of 2018 when the HG failed catastrophically and destroyed the entire engine. I had a used engine put in it that came out of a truck with similar miles to mine. The engine was entirely resealed and cleaned. ALL the heater hoses and radiator hoses have been replaced, so no worries about the PHH or any hoses for that matter. The radiator has also been replaced fairly recently with an OEM metal tank radiator. The engine is in great working order and runs strong and cool, and the engine bay is very nice.

The truck has a brown cloth interior in excellent shape, no tears, cracks, or stains to speak of except for the top portion of the steering column clamshell. It is partially broken.

The Truck has a completely rust free undercarriage and aside from a little mud here and there is in great shape and super solid.

In the spring of 2018 I did a complete front axle rebuild. I rebuilt the knuckles with a kit from Cruiser Brothers with OEM axle seals, and replaced all trunion and wheel bearings with Japanese besrings

At the same time as the front axle rebuild I did and extensive brake rebuild. On the front I replaced the rotors, calipers, pads, and soft lines all with good NAPA parts. On the rear I replaced the pads, one rotor, and both calipers.

List of Mods I have done
-OME 3.5” lift, 850Js with 30mm spacers up front, 863s our back. Lift has approx. 20K mi on it
-TG 67” rock sliders, welded to the frame with plates and gussets, really nice setup. I left them bare metal and let them surface rust because I like how it compliments the color of the truck, but they could be easily painted if that was your style
-TG Rock Defender front tube bumper same finish as sliders
-Iron Pig Offroad rear Dual Swingout rear bumper, this is a really nice really beefy bumper that can stand up to anything
-Has 285/75R16s on OEM wheels with about 80-85% tread left, I put a set of Comforser CF3000s on it but I sliced a sidewall so the fourth tire on the truck is a Bridgestone Dueler AT, and the Comforser is the spare tire(still holds air perfectly I just didn’t want to run a lot of highway miles on it).
-No Cats, still has O2 sensors though but are currently unplugged. I replaced them with Denso sensors and they went bad in a month so I just unplugged them. Runs great but there is a CEL but does not affect performance in any way. I got the exact same MPG with them unplugged as when they were new and plugged in.

As this truck is 25 years old it does need a few minor things.
-Steering wheel could be re centered. Doesn’t affect anything besides looks, it has been aligned recently.
-Caster correction, when I lifted the truck I never installed caster correction plates or bushings. Because of this it does drive like a lifted truck and floats a little bit but with caster correction it would drive like stock. I’ve driven it thousands of miles across multiple states without caster correction but it would be a good upgrade.
-DS mirror is held on with tape, the little tabs that it hangs on in the housing are broken, could be repaired with a DIY fix I just never got around to it.
-AC works but is not cold, this is because the compressor leaks. I have a brand new in box Denso compressor that comes with the truck. Install that and have the AC charged and you’ll be good to go.
-Brakes stop well but pedal is soft, as noted I have replaced all the brakes, and bled over 3 gallons of fluid through the system, stops but soft pedal.
-Windshield is cracked mainly on passenger side, my friend tried to kill a horsefly and cracked it with his hand.
