Windshield washer bottle and electric pump

I am having trouble locating an original bottle and electric windshield washer pump for my 79 FJ 40. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same trouble when mine hit the bucket. I just went to Lordco, or NAPA as I don't think the states have Lordco, and bought a generic one with more volume and better motor. Most will fit as you should have a lot of room in that area where these are located under the hood. If you want to go OEM you might be best in the MUD classifieds as I believe a 79 is parting out there.

Search. About a year ago I posted up a solution to exactly that problem (on another '79 no less). Just have to get a little creative with mounting thebottle that SOR or CCOT sells.

Ebay seller landcruiserparts had one a little while ago, it may still be there, It isn't listed as a sprayer bottle its called something like: "OEM FJ40", but when you click on it, it is the bottle.

See what Napa can do for you, though; sometimes it's better to cobble something together out of readily available parts so when the time comes to replace it, the pieces are easy to come by, especially when dealing with older cars, or away from a ready OEM parts source.

pulled a unit out of a truck at a pick n pull junk yard. cost around $5.

Hope this helps. It has worked very well since I put it in, and looks just about factory. If I ever find a good bottle/motor, I can easily put it back in.
