Recently acquired a 01LX, looking to take care of the windshield leak by someone experienced. I called Low Price Auto glass and the guy I spoke with was familiar with the windshield leaks on the 100 series.

Before I roll the dice, is there anyone in the Austin metro area that is reputable?

are you sure its a windshield leak? Usually the sunroof drains are clogged and cause leaks too, check that first.

I checked the sunroof last night, I had to u bolt it from the inside because it’s seized up. The drains are functioning properly. When I poured water around the top molding is when it leaked through. It was coming out of the headliner by the rear view mirror and the driver side a pillar headliner.

I recently used Low Price Auto Glass North Lamar location and am very satisfied. Shakim the owner is the real deal. He is very familiar with LCs. He let me bring in all new OEM trims pieces and did not charge me extra. When they removed my old windshield, which the had screws from the PO install, he brought me back to the bay to show me some surface rust and gave some options (I called AJ from AJ's Yotas and got some more good advice). Shakim knew a body/paint guy just down the street who was able to clean, bondo, and primer for a mere $120. He then took my LC back to LPAG and they finished the install.

I previously was in communication with LPAG/Earnesto in south Austin as I live right next to it and they did my wife's 4runner and my Infiniti q40. There was an issue with the q40 install, which had to be rectified after a couple of times returning it, which he wasn't happy about, but they did remove and reinstall, which fixed the issue so I have to give them credit for that.

Back to the LC. Earnesto told me he doesn't upcharge on parts as he does work for Toyota Autonation. When I got his quote the price for trim pieces were definitely more than what I could get them from Toyota Autonation as they have online wholesale parts. The next red flag was his quote has wrong part numbers. The last red flag was that he wanted to charge me additional labor for installing the OEM trip piece I provided.

When I called LPAG/Shakim he told me there was not a reason to charge extra since they would have to remove/reuse those pieces anyway. Glad I listened to my gut and didn't go with the LPAG south Austin location.
