Do you know how do you tell the different years of 40 windshield hinges
75-84 ?
58-74 ?

Later hinges stick out to clear the wiper motor cover.

The only way to tell the difference is to look at them. If they don’t look the same then they are different.

Can you see the difference in this pic? The part where it hinges is moved outward. Also 79+ hinges no longer have the chamfer on the hole (like this image)

Look at the pivot point. Do you see a difference where the pivot is? The 2nd pic with the tape measure is the later version. The pivot point is moved outward so the wiper motor cover doesnt hit the cowl.
