Since installing the winch I'm getting a pretty persistent "PCS Temporarily Unavailable" message on the dash. Those of you that have done winch and mounted the control front/center have you experienced the same?

Should I be looking for an alternate winch control box location. It seems like you can turn off PCS with a button hidden under the dash, but would like to find a better option than that.

Pre-crash system is being blocked by the control box. The emblem on the grill is nothing more than a pass-thru composite material there to protect the millimetre-wave radar just behind it. If you have a control box relocation kit available it would solve your issue.

If you aren't worried about that safety feature or adaptive cruise disabling isn't that much of an issue.

*Side note* This is the reason I'm looking for a front bumper that sits the winch lower like the ARB Summit bar.

What's weird is that its not always blocking it. I'm going to flatten out the angle of the bracket and maybe gain an inch or so of clearance for the sensor. If that doesn't work, then will consider relocating the solenoid.

Does it vary based on speed? I wouldn't be surprised to discover that it narrows it's "view" as speed increases in order to focus on distance or something.... Just curious. I'm in an 08...

I took the solenoid box and banged the bracket with a BFH so it doesn't stand up so vertically. Left just enough room to get the wrench off the mounting stud. Did't get the warning on the way to work today so maybe that was just enough clearance. Will see next time when I get on the freeway.
