jason this looks good. i can see, even all the way from texas, that your work is great! i can't believe how big the girls are now! its been a while since we did the injectors eh?

Hey Pete. it has been awhile since the injectors. 3 years? yeah the girls are getting big and opinionated. Hazel wants to know when she can drive Daddy's Broken car.they were pretty stoked i put the back seat in for them. and that there are no more holes in the floor.

the lv is coming along. i think it will hit the road at some point this summer....

its been a bit since I last updated my thread. been busy. I finally have hte seat frames done. they took alot of welding and grinding but I am very pleaed with the results. I just have to finish painting the passenger side one then I can mount hte seat. I still need to mount the center consul but I can make the brackets for that later. my next project is getting the t-case linkage installed so I can install the tranny hump for good. yeah!!!

so some of my other little side projects have included tracking down and installing the knobs for the rear lift gate stays. I am please with the way they work.

I also finished up the seat belt install and am pleased with how that all came out as well.just need to pick up some more 5/8's heater hose and install the rear heater and I can fill the system. it won't be long now until I can start it and let it run on its own ...

wow those seat sure look like they give allot of room. Looks like you used Dynamat too. Looking great!

I should have taken the baggy covering off the seat but I forgot the seats actually look alot like fj60 seats and they are very comfy and since they are out of a Camery they are til toyota .

unfortunately it is not dynamat but phatmat. I used dynamat in my fj62 and after 5 years now it is still sticking where it is supposed to. the phatmat is thinner andwhile sticking and working fine on the horizontal surfaces it is having trouble sticking to the vertical surfaces I have affixed it too. its not a bad product but I can see why dynomat is 4 times as expensive. I think I will end up putting another layer of the phatmat on the floor and use the dynotmat firewall stuff and thransmission hump stuff for those parts.

but thanks Mike remember you are not allowed to disassemble your lv I am jealous yours is drivable. but soon soon i will be on the road again.

hmm how much would you be welling to pay or a set :-)

I got alot done this week end. I got hte shifter assembles all instaleed as well as both front seats bolted in and the seat frames finsihed... i installed the tranny hump hopefully tfor he last time just need to bolt it down .
I mounted up the passenger fender so I can get that side of the truck ironed out with mounting hte coil. just need to finish up the brake lines and wire it and its ready to go..... well maybe a few other things along the way . but I was pleased with my progres s this week end I will take some pics in the moring of my progress

I swear i read the owners manual to my new camera I don't know why the flash did not work this morning. but I will get other pics later.

ur new camera sucks as bad as your old one... hehe :flipoff2: maybe it is the program that you are using to resize your photos that is degrading the quality so bad....

I vote I need more and better photos... :D

looks great man!!!! keep it up you are hauling ass on this!!!

Ha its actually a nice new Sony 7.2 mega pixel camera and you would figure me being an illustrator I would have a better grasp on using it. :) i will take some pics at lunch and post them up.
I got some work in yesterday as well mostly just the odd ball stuff like bolting down the steering wheel and boltig down the tranny hump. messin with the brake lines. just stuff that takes time but you don't really see any progress.

OK Peterson
here are some better quality pics for you.part of my problem in getting decent body shots is the size of my garage. and I did not feel like mving the bike and baby stroller so they are in there too.

one thing I had forgotten is how straight and clean my fenders are. they line up perfectly with out much effort at all.

when I got home for lunch on my front door step was my rear heaater. I go it off ebay its a fj60 rear heater in good shape. its a bit bigger than i thought it would be but I have hte space for it. now i just need to make some mounting brackets for it.

Jason, no offense, but I think something is wrong with your camera, esp. since it is new. The pics should look a lot better. Look at the pics I have posted and my dig camera is old and of course the pics are all resized before they get posted. I know this is not a photo contest and you are clearly a very good mechanic and very persistent. But we need some better pictures. Keep up the great work as always. I use a free pix resizer called PIXresizer if you think that has anything to do with it? Cheers, Mark

I vote his camera is fine and it is the program that is resizing it that is messing it up... email one of us a full size pic and we can put it up for you and compare the difference.............

dude we are only telling you this because we are missing the detail of your work... :D

i am guessing he doesnt care what they look like :flipoff2:

Jason, quick question. I am talking to a sheet metal guy who is skilled at fabrication/welding etc for resto stuff as well as race car building. He can install my floor pans and do other stuff, but charges by the hour. Just wondering how many man-hours it took you to remove and re-install the floor pan? Thanks
