So with our growing family, I am proud to announce the new edition to the fleet. I bought the Ol' Lady a hundy!! This is the cleanest one I have seen in the Bay Area and Sacramento Area. I will be doing some things to this, but this is the Wifey's ride.

So I have only seen the 2.5" lift out there. I wanted to put 35in tires on it, but it looks like that might be way too much work. I was thinking of putting some 315/75/16 duratracks on the OEM wheels. Does anyone know of some other options to fit 35's?? Im pretty sure the duratracks would fit with the 2.5" lift. All input is appreciated!!

Good looking truck. Of course it's your choice but as a daily driver I would stick with a 33". Less potential issues, better fit for the stock gearing, still looks great with a 2.5" lift. You can fit 35s if you really want to so do your research. Welcome to the 100s.

NOO!!!! I saw this on Craigslist and was about to get it!

Congrats!

Does the front passenger side sit lower to you? I noticed that in the pictures

Rear diff lock on an 01, thats awesome. Your wife is a lucky lady!

Does it have the Center Diff lock as well? I didn't know the 100 came with a rear locking option. Wish mine had that.

Only on the 98 and 99 model years. The 2000 came with ATRAC as the replacement.

Congrats on the purchase. Does look very clean!

After much consideration and the realization that this will be our "Classy family vehicle" I am sticking with a 305/70/16. Im thinking of an aggressive AT like the Duratrac.... heard lots of good things about them. This has both the Rear Locker and the center diff lock. The truck does look saggy in the front IMO, but until now, I really never looked twice at these things to know how they should sit. My runner came with a 3" rake in the front from the factory. Im working on my runner a bunch right now, getting ready for the Rubicon in a couple weeks. I will be throwing the LC up on the rack here soon tho to see whats goin on under it.

This thing is very nice and plush. Im going to crank the front Tbars down to fit the new tires. Ill see how it drives and eventually replace the shocks and springs with OME. Are the OME Tbars necessary?? This setup is all new to me and Ive read the FAQ's, but just want some opinions. Obviously the rear coils and new shocks will lift the rear, but are the OME Tbars needed to lift the front or can you just do the OME shocks and crank the stock bars?

Nice ride - nice color too.

Looks very clean.

What mods you got planned?

You can keep the stock t-bars and just adjust them, unless they are starting to sag excessively.

You really only need the OME t-bars if you have extra weight up front (like a bumper).

IMO, from having run OME shocks on my FJ Cruiser (front and rear) and OME on my FZJ80 (front and rear), there are MUCH better shock options out there. I probably will never run OME shocks again. Their springs, coils, and tbars are great, shocks are pretty sub-par.

I am running Radflo 2.5s up front with OME torsion bars and it is a night and day difference over stock.

hhhhm that looks SO familiar :grinpimp:

Yes you can fit 35's with the OME Lift, BUT you are 100% correct, if this is the family car, stick with 33's, less hassles and looks just as good if you go with something like the Nitos.

For a play by play build-up of your exact 100 check out my build thread in my signature[/FONT]:hillbilly::wrench:

p.s. this is what it would look like with the OME lift with one sixe down form the 305's.... just add some knoblies to those smooth road tyres and you get the picture.

LOTS of wheel travel and none of the 35's issues

For what you are saying your intended purposes are, I'd just keep the stock TBs and crank them a bit. There are more than a few people on here that even run stock TBs with aftermarket bumpers.

Looking forward to seeing how your build progresses!

LC's in the Bay Area are tough to find... Took months to find mine. If you are willing to SETTLE for an lx470 there are a lot more of them available here.
