So I have a 2000 lx 281k miles and I am starting to hear a whine when accelerating but it cuts off at 2200 rpm. I can rev it in neutral and hear the sound too. Any ideas?

Belts, pulleys, could be lots of things.
Alt bearings
Mine does the same, does it stop after its had a chance to warm up?
Post a video or an audio clip. We can troubleshoot that way. Plus I want to compare it to a whine I've had for months that I can't figure out for the life of me.
