So I have had my KZJ78 for about a month and my current to do list includes:
1) Larger 3” dump pipe and 3” exhaust all the way back.
2) EGT and boost gauge
3) Intercooler
And this is just the RIGHT NOW stuff - not even wish list stuff.
If only I had been warned.......I still would have done it.

The exhaust is a bit tricky but 3" definitely the go, I massaged the firewall a little with a hammer to give a bit more clearance for the dump pipe , then a resonator halfway in front of a single chamber flowmaster, pretty much no drone at all

I'm glad you are being the role model for my truck. Are you thinking of mounting the intercooler behind the front bumper or in the engine compartment with a hood scoop. Been looking at the intercooler kits sold for the 1kz powered Hilux's in Australia for a possible adaptation. My exhaust guy in West Texas supposedly has a plan to redo the exhaust and add the larger dump pipe. Glad your a month ahead of me.

search my posts got info on intercooler(front mount with everything intact including aircon) and pics of exhaust, I have since painted the exhaust some anti rust chrome coat galv spray looks horrendous but wont rust for ages so being bright i ll snap some more pics again this weekend
