Soo I've always love cruisers prolly cause my dad always told me about his 74' fj40 when he was in the navy. Anyway, I got started with Jeep Xj's but always wanted an older big body cruiser. There was always this primer gray fj60 at a local deli I eyed and wanted. One day my friend, who worked at advance auto, told me about some guy who came in asking if he knew anyone interested in his fj60 for 1500. I got the guy's info and went to look at it and it turned out to be the same one that was always parked outside that deli. The guy told me it was his son's and his son abandoned it for a lancer oz edition(loser), so he was just trying to get rid of it. I said okay to the 1500. As I was pulling away the guy ran to me and said "fine.. you can have it for 800" I was confused. Well I agreed and a week later I drove it home. Now I'm currently working on building it up, and have a 1970 fj40 project also. The fj40 story is a lot more interesting I think. In 7th grade I used to spend the night at my friend's house. In the garage there was a 1970 fj40 under a pile of trash and wood. I bugged his dad every time I saw him to sell it to me ever since then. 7 seven years later , 2 years out of high school my friends dad finally decided to give me the fj40 under the condition I will restore, build, then wheel it. Dream come true. I'll post pics someday.
