Looking at some threads on 4x4ham I came across this:

Gas Pipeline Night Run

Page 2 has pics and a video. Although if you're not a member you might not be able to see 'em. Looks interesting. Haven't wheeled at night since college days. We wouldn't HAVE to do this same trail.

^^^ Getting lost doesn't count

one time we exited out FR393 from Log Corral in the dark (because we had started kinda late and been quite slow in the rock garden) - when we ran it a year later in daylight, we could only go

same experience coming into Moab down from Hurrah Pass in the dark at blasting speeds to get into town for a good pizza, and upon seeing the trail and terrain in daylight the next year . . .

my inclination for intentional night runs is low these days :meh:

We have wheeled at night as a club, just not on purpose

We have had scheduled/planned night runs in the past.

Also pre ran Payeat on a planned club run (I was a passenger) to do some vehicle testing. The trail at 2AM is much smoother than in the day time:rolleyes: and no spotting was required.

I have run Gas Pipeline during the day in the past. It has some climbs that would be interesting at night.
