I used 90915-20004 on my LX 450 and 2004 Tacoma. This filter fits nicely on both vehicles. I still have a case and half. Once they are gone, I will use Wix or Napa gold, or maybe the newer Amsoil oil filters.

Yep, been using the 90915-20004 on my 4Runner and my xcab (when I owned it) for some time now. Bought two cases when I heard they were going extinct. Still have a case left. After they are gone, I figure it would be best to just change the oil and leave the old filter on there. :crybaby:

yeah, right. Buy toy filters whenever you can.
air, fuel and oil, the oem knows best.
no more U.S. filters as puralator obviously wouldn't or couldn't make them to oem specs.

If you buy a Toyota filter from a dealer and it has ZZ in the part number its not really a true factory Toyota filter..the ZZ parts are US sourced parts to be competitive with the aftermarket..

Note: there made to Toyota specs.

Interesting fact....the Amsoil/Wix filter designed for my pu truck (92 4x4) costs more than the Amsoil/Wix filter for my 01 M3. Go figure on that one.

Although it does state that the EAO57 (Toy filter) is guaranteed to last 25k miles.

For the money the PureOne filter is hard to beat and it will give any excellent filter a run for their money relative to filtering ability.

ya know i read all of these posts and i cannot read anything positve for FRAM...

Well every toyota i have owned and every toyota that my dad has owned has only used FRAM oil filters and pennzoil oil.

My dads camry was given away, still in great running condition, with 420K miles, the 85 4runner was totalled, still in great running condition with 290K miles, and My mini has 245K milse and still going strong.

If fram is that bad i would love to see what the camry would have done...

I think folks use negative statements a bit too loosely about Fram. I know of MANY farm trucks that go well into the 200k+ range using only Fram filters and mineral oil. It is more about how much better Wix/Amsoil filters are in comparison. There are reports that show the filters in comparison and it is VERY clear that the Fram does not do as good of job as others.....BUT, whether or not that relates to engine failure at X versus Y has not been shown...at least not to me (I am open to that information). AND, it is very hard to refute hundreds of owners with vehicles that have ran for many miles using a Fram. I think it goes to the question of whether you are inclined towards the absolute best OR what has been working under minimally accepted tolerances YET has proven to be adequate in most of all running conditions. I strongly believe that any filter, if changed every 3k miles, will allow the engine to reach its full mechanical limits.

Just my .02.

However, the Amsoil filter does guarantee it for 25k miles and, in the interest of cost only, might be a better choice-regardless of debate.
