I'm going to change my oil today in my Tacoma, and just curious on who makes the best oil filter. I've had some good luck with Pulolater One's, and the same with Wix. I'll buy a Fram if they are what are best for my truck, but i've had some bad experiences with them.
I wound up buying a Fram filter today, and I'll just use it for a short while, and order up a bunch of Denso filters. I've got an online supplier that sells them for $5.30 each.

I can try my local dealer for filters sometime, but I already know that they will be way over priced. I went there the other day trying to find some 1.4w instrument bulbs, and they wanted like $4 a piece for them, and I said screw it, and I used some 1.2w bulbs I had sitting in a box at home, can't tell a difference at all.
Is it just me or did you guys miss how cheaply made the new toyota filters are??
If anyone here has run filters since the time they where made in Japan then you know how nice and well made those filters were. Then came the US made filters....yeah they got smaller and seemed fine but COMEON! the new made in Indonesia or where ever it is now just looks like crap and feels super cheap.
Curious, what was it? 90915-what? They have changed the filters so much lately I can't keep up. At least they have gone back to Denso's, though they are not made in Japan anymore. The 90915-YZZB9/5 was a fine filter, while they were available.
I used 90915-20004 on my LX 450 and 2004 Tacoma. This filter fits nicely on both vehicles. I still have a case and half. Once they are gone, I will use Wix or Napa gold, or maybe the newer Amsoil oil filters.
Actually I think I might have found 2 filters that are relabeled Denso's, but with the cost of shipping, it will be cheaper to spend the $4.31 at the dealer
Buy napa. the part number for a yoter is 1348.
but you can run a filter listed for a mopar pos. its the same thread, and gasket size, just a bigger cartridge, holds more oil.
