Who has the highest mileage?

Looks like there are some vintage vehicles on this forum, just wondering who has the highest mileage.

My 75 series has 321,000 kms or just under 200,000 miles in old money, so thats an average of 21,400 kms or 13,333 miles per year, anyone beat that?

ummm, i have a 87 BJ70 with 34K on it so average 1300 km per year.

i did have a 1987 BJ74 with 387K on it back in 2003 so 24,200 per year
picked up a 1986 BJ70 with 500K on it a couple years back.
now, are we just talking 70 series or any land cruiser?
back in 1996 i bought a 1977 FJ45 that had 612K on it in Alberta. the original owner had driven it from Calgary to Edmonton constantly from new. 32,000K per year. that is a lot of seat time in a 45. (and a lot of fuel)
but these will be blown out of the water once the rest cruisersheads start speaking up.

I had an old 1978 fj45 that I brought in 1995 with 52,000km on the clock, I sold it to a guy 8 years later who had an old fj70 on his back lawn with 518,000km on it, still origional engine dunno if it had been rebuilt or not, gearbox had been thrown away and an old 4 speed stuck into it

Mate had a FJ55 which was used as a country mail service vehicle before he bought it, sold about 10 years ago with over 1million kms on it, only had two dings in it, virtuially no rust and overall good condition except for the drivers seat!

I picked up a 1985 bj70 for my son's first vehicle back in October with 502,000km. It now has 3,000 more km. Poor old truck doesn't appreciate the move from BC to the frozen tundra of Saskatchewan. I sold my 1987 hj60 a few years back with 512,000km, and I bought my 1977 fj45 back in 2001 with 44,000km. Those were very tough km though, she was beat!

I bought an 86 BJ 70 (aka Zippo, the truck that bursts into flames) from the original owner back in 2001 with 560,000 on the odo. Between my wife and I we continued to daily drive it for 8 more years. It is now parked in the back 40 with 641,000 kms on it. Its for sale actually. $10,000. Fire extinguisher only used twice.

Compared to the rigs mentioned above, mine is still wearing diapers
Only 272000 and a bit of wich it has been towing a caravan (max AUW 1600 kg or about 3500 pounds) for about 115 000.
Owning it for almost 18 years now, this means an average of 15540 kms/year.

Longest distance in shortest time was almost 16000km in 5 weeks and 3 days on our trip to Kazakhstan and back.

Average fuelconsumption 12,8 liter per 100 km.
Meaning I have used 34816 liters diesel. Lowest price per liter was 28 Eurocent (36 dollarcent) in 2001 in Tunesia, highest was 1.80 Euro (2.33 USD) in 2012 in the UK.

Average fuelcost per km is 11,74 eurocent (15 USDcent) and therefore total fuelcost over this distance is 31933 Euro or 41351 USD

Original motor and drivetrain! Has had many parts and tinkering, still as reliable as a toyota should be!

HI own a MWB 1985 BJ73 584,000km i brought new in December 1985 all still original, motor uses about 1 litre oil every 10,000 km from new to now. Compression still within specs.

My 89 BJ74 only has 172,000km and runs like new. Definitely not the highest milage for sure!

My 85 CDM BJ70 has 328,000 km's on it, runs great. Had Alltoy in Kamloops do some motor work on it a few years ago, he also rebuilt the rear end.

I guess on a large international forum like this one there are always going to be misinterpretations, due to differences in dialect etc.

Well something like that happened to me.
the 1hz family are oft cited on here as being half million.... haha, i though *mile* engines

it seems that instead what you guys are saying is they are good for half a million kilometers, which is round the 300,000 mile mark.

so this mistake on my part caused me to judge several engines unfairly.

I recently bought an iveco daily 40.10 4x4. The sofim engine it is good for about 250,000 miles. I though, well thats not great...
but, it seems, in the light of my new understanding, thats pretty damn good.

the 1kz, from what i have read about it, tends to have head issues after 200,000 miles, which it not to bad in my new scale of things

and finally i have two diahatsu fourtraks (called rocky's in other regions) one of them has 540,000 miles on it. I though, jesus, thats a freak, until i bought another one, the "new" one has 460,00 miles on it. apparently thats normal, according to the fourtak forums.

Heres one for record a fellow came in to work yesterday with a 1996 HZJ75 ute. This ute has had a new head due to a broken timing belt, 2 injector pumps but the botom end is orinigal. 1300000 yep 1.3 million KM That is a good run out of a 1HZ.

The ute works out west. He owns a earthmoving machines and it is the mantaince ute. its been serviced every 5000km/ oil and filters. Its had the 2 rear diff centers and one rear diff housing. She must be getting tired.
