Like the title says. Planning to galvanize then powder coat my frame. Who has done this and how did you mask the threads? Silicon? Anti-galv products? Bolts / nuts?

My rear shock threads were masked by heavy tape "accidentally". The tape was left over from sand blasting. But it worked well. I wouldn't use a nut, I would be afraid it wouldn't come off without damaging the threads. All internal threads will need to be drilled and tapped.
I did my chassis a few months ago, the external threads were taped by the galvanises, the internal threads just got galvanised and then I ran the tap through the threads without drilling them first - was quite easy, juse take it slow. Then I painted my chassis
