Matt Stoffregen at Stoffregen Motorsports did my Fj60. Ca smog legal w/ ls3 erod. Fj80 rear axle, Tacoma disks, fj80 booster etc etc. He is a fabricator. He does about 1 vehicle a year. Last 2 or 3 years it’s been 60s and 62s, but he’s done other stuff as well. Don’t know his current wait time. Probably 1 or 2 years.

I am attempting this mod now, in fact I’m prepping to cut the frame soon. It looks like there are two ideal locations to make the cut and I believe most are doing it toward the rear, is there any disadvantage to making the cut forward?

Driving an 18 4x4 Tacoma for work. FJ60 in medium lift springs rides better on and off road IMO except for body roll. I’ll stick to leafs and spend the 10k on gas and beer
