Matt Stoffregen at Stoffregen Motorsports did my Fj60. Ca smog legal w/ ls3 erod. Fj80 rear axle, Tacoma disks, fj80 booster etc etc. He is a fabricator. He does about 1 vehicle a year. Last 2 or 3 years it’s been 60s and 62s, but he’s done other stuff as well. Don’t know his current wait time. Probably 1 or 2 years.
 
I am attempting this mod now, in fact I’m prepping to cut the frame soon. It looks like there are two ideal locations to make the cut and I believe most are doing it toward the rear, is there any disadvantage to making the cut forward?
