Well in 3 weeks I wil be packing the 80 up with mtb bike on back, trekking to Steamboat Springs. There I will meet up with 15 other guys. Moab is the next stop to ride the white rim ride over 3 days.

Anyone done this before? I road bike so conditioning not something I'm concerned about. However I know I may see a wide variety of conditions.

I've never done it, but have friends that have, I don't think its too technical or anything, just a scenic fire road. It sounded a lot like a raft trip. Paddle/peddle all day, drink all night.

Have fun,

Dan

Didn't realize they had the road open again. Last I had heard they were still unsure of funding for repairs.

We planned a one day trip last year, but the road wash out canceled it. I understand that the long sandy sections can really sap your energy. Otherwise I don't believe it's particularly technical.

Sounds like a fun trip.

3 days will be a breeze for you if you are in good road biking shape. It's really just a dirt road the whole way, the scenery is amazing, bring a good camera and some memory cards, I always took tons of pics. There are some side hikes that I have heard are nice, I have never had time to hit any of them. Bring lots of water, some extra tubes and some ibuprofen, it's a bumpy road. Enjoy!
