I have a 98 and looked in my 3rd row area didn't see any anchor points like the one in the picture. However, there are two cargo hooks I assume and probably not meant for child seat attachments.

My '04 LC has them.
I know our 2000 does not have them.
I know our 2006 has them.

Our 04 has tether anchors, the 98 didn't. It has precut insulation and holes where they should be, but not threaded and no nut insert.
I added anchors, but I wouldn't do it again, I'd just use the third row seat anchor or cargo anchor.

My 01 has anchors
I have a 2000. I installed them, pull up the rug and you will see the holes. I will look in my files for Lexus part number. Will try and get photos for you
Sub'd. I just installed an anchored seat base in my wifes 04 Civic with the LATCH system and had to use the regular seat belt method on the Cruiser. I'd love to get it secured more positively in the Crusier...
just remember the latch system is only good for 50-60lb car seat and baby weight combined. Some seats like the sunshine radian are pretty heavy and you have to move into seatbelts alot sooner than youd expect.
Apologies on the delay. Back in 2000 and 2002, the car seats came with a bracket to install. The ones you see in the photo are not lexus OEM. My notes in my file says that the LExus OEM bracket did not fit, so I used what the car seat manufacturers provided. I used all Britax car seats.
