You can tell by looking underneath and seeing if you have the subframe with a flat platform and winch mounting pattern. Few s***ty pictures below.I believe that the PO had his winch mounted Feet Forward. With the Zeon fit one but not the other?
Sorry, I actually thought this was a new thread, not already on to the second page...I was just trying toI believe that the PO had his winch mounted Feet Forward. With the Zeon fit one but not the other?
Being able to walk into any HF in the USA on any day of the week and get a replacement winch that day is certainly a positive feature. I'm betting there are no more than a handful of places in the lower 48 that are more than 200 miles from a Harbor Freight. What sold me on HF was ease of warranty. I get it, chances of failure are higher but the reality is noone is reporting massive failures and these new versions are gaining a decent reputation. I also feel like people put so much stress on winch reliability and how serious everything about it is. If my winch breaks and I get stuck in the woods for a week, that's OK in my books, we'll get home eventually. You should have other means of recovery anyway ( shovels, traction boards, etc.)
The difference? When you call Warn to tell them their new unit is having issues , they will instruct you on how to take it apart and troubleshoot it. I'm sure Warn has good tech support but I don't want support, just replace it when it breaks. I can't base that comment on experience but when researching my freespool issue I found dozens of Warn forums with the same issue. They all ended up taking it apart, re-greasing, etc.
You can mount a Zeon either feet down or forward. The clutch can be clocked and the control box relocated, if needed. But some winches have drain holes that also need to be moved for correct orientation. Not sure on Zeon.I believe that the PO had his winch mounted Feet Forward. With the Zeon fit one but not the other?
What model bumper is that, 3413190? Don't see why it would't work, what is your concern, fitmet?Anyone mounted a M12 on 03-07 ARB deluxe bar?
Yup, looks like it fits. Prefer the M12 series than the Zeon series. Thanks =)What model bumper is that, 3413190? Don't see why it would't work, what is your concern, fitmet?
Have you checked the manual, if this is the right product number then see below. It just makes note of the need to rotate the gearbox lever thing. So make sure you go for a winch that has that option. Looks like they even have control box mounting brackets available for Warn and some other options.

The M series is a heavy duty winch with stronger/bigger gear case then the Zeon Series winch.Interesting, what do you like better about the M12 for a LC?
Oh, I don't know Warn well, I didn't realize the M12 is different / larger size than other 12k options with their brand. Looks beefy, how much does it weigh?Yup, looks like it fits. Prefer the M12 series than the Zeon series. Thanks =)
Should be around 85 lbs with synthetic line, M12S. M12000 is a beast, been a round for quite sometimes now.Oh, I don't know Warn well, I didn't realize the M12 is different / larger size than other 12k options with their brand. Looks beefy, how much does it weigh?
Speaking of 9.5k, currently I have a Warn 9.5XP on my 80 series for 14 yrs. Contactor solenoid may need some attention but still works wonderfully. The M12 looks awesome, but may be a little more than I need for the LC. I honestly thought about a 9.5K, but want the cushion of the 12K capacity. I do like the more simple build of the M12, but weight, line speed and waterproofness (maybe not a word...) lean me toward the Zeon. The $1K difference in price is worth noting too.
Mine is definitely the newer model - feet forward.First you have to ID which ARB you have...they make a model for 98-02 and a model for 03-07
but the 03-07 is commonly installed on the earlier 100's.
Older model accommodates "feet down" install
Newer model is a "feet forward" position/install
That's what snatch blocks are forI honestly thought about a 9.5K, but want the cushion of the 12K capacity.
ARB tech support is utterly useless for me , glad to hear you have better luck sorta although they never have any answers.... . They weren't even aware they made feet down style winch mounts , they had to write the AU team and ask lol .I will definitely has those too. The Zeon 12S will be here today and I hope to get it mounted this weekend unless. I e-mailed ARB and (as usual) they responded immediately and they have not fit one, but said that it should fit just fine.
