I run a weight distribution hitch and Air Ride 1000 bags and rarely even have to use them with a 5000 lb hybrid trailer. Maybe 10-15 lbs of pressure in them with a generator and cooler in the back of the truck.

Not unless you use short/squat airbags that inflate between only the lower rear spring coils. Then you'd have a progressive rate spring. Not sure that is optimal.Maybe a stupid follow up question as I am not very smart. If the rear timbren replaces the frame mount bump stop, can you run both timbrens and airbags? If the bags were left at little to no pressure?
I'd say no as the bumpstops and the airbags would be trying to occupy the same space.Maybe a stupid follow up question as I am not very smart. If the rear timbren replaces the frame mount bump stop, can you run both timbrens and airbags? If the bags were left at little to no pressure?
Per usual I was confused. I thought the timbrens replaced the frame mounted bump stop, so it wouldn’t occupy the same space. But even if that were the case and you can’t run bags with no pressure, than no reason to listen to my silliness any further. ThanksI'd say no as the bumpstops and the airbags would be trying to occupy the same space.
Also do not leave your air bags at 0 pressure that's how they get ruined.
They do, but the stock bump stops also need to be removed to install the air bags.Per usual I was confused.
