Either mounted on the side panels in the trunk, or somehow hang a flat rectangular from the roof using the handle bar screws and a tray. Clear sound but not very expensive. Looking for some recommendations. Thanks.

I mean, if I wasn't using the tailgate as storage, I would put a couple of massive subwoofers there.. 😁

I believe the tailgate has drains, which would allow equalization of air.

that is a good idea... let me try. wonder how much depth is in there

Depends on what your plans for the vehicle are. I’d love more bass in mine, but it was all a big compromise for me. I have ARB drawers, a semi-permanently mounted fridge, and frequently haul stuff in the back. There's a QPM full of electronics in the factory sub location. I opted for a Memphis powered 8" sub that wedges between the drawers and the 2nd row seat and still sounds decent.

I put a sub in the side, where the old sub was on the LC. Lots of people do this. I made mine but a few sell brackets.

I’ve been very pleased with this set up. I was reluctant to do a fixed mount because I have so many different gear configurations in the back. This Kicker box is indestructible and hardly moves at all in rough trails. I can move it wherever I need it in the back depending on what I’m carrying. Very happy with the performance too.
