So I haven't had an oil pressure gauge in my cruiser for ever, a couple years ago I tried the stock sender and one for the 6BT, if I recall the cummins sender put the needle full stroke, I turned it off quick, the 80 series wouldn't hardly budge it (checked with the 6BT after to make sure I hadn't burnt it out) my thought is the 6BT resistance is too low, and it doesn't make as much pressure as the 3FE to move the needle most of the time, does anyone know if there is a sender that will work better? I also have a mechanical gauge that I am in the process of installing but I'd like to get the majority of the gauge cluster working

Edit: sounds like folks are using the factory sender, I'll give it another look I guess.

I'm using the factory toyota sender in my cummins. The gauge seems to read right but after a few minutes the oil light comes on.Oil level is good so I'm stumped.I also have a manual gauge in the mix.Not much help but just sharing my experience

Factory sender. The 6BT should produce as much if not more oil pressure than the 3FE.
