Which free wheel front hubs will fit post 4/94 FZJ-80 without modifications?

All good information. OK, for the AISIN options, consolidating from above:

With the 105 series free wheeling hubs (-60130) you can keep the longer birfields but you must first tap the stock 80 hubs for the larger 10mm studs required by the -60130.

105 series hubs also requires the additional groove if using late model (long) birfs

HA! Just when I thought I understood it all. I was looking for an easy bolt on solution but I guess there isn't one. Not sure I could cut a straight lock ring groove with a cutting wheel, wonder if there is some other small tool that could do that with just the drive flange removed??

Hold my beer I do it for you:flipoff2:

On a more serious note you can cut 8mm off the lip off the drive flang to make a straight cut easier  Just make sure the axle stub is pulled all the way out:doh:

Main concern would be getting the cut squared up with the proper width and depth,---. Maybe use a short hardened steel ring (?collet) with a couple of set screws tightened down on the stub shaft at the correct position??

Search a few have done it with success.
FWIW the groove is not that critical. It just holds the birf to the spindle bushing.:meh:

Do I understand correctly that there is a Warn hub that will fit a 1996 FZJ80 without modification? If so, does anyone have a part number? I am nervous about machining a new grove for the AISIN hubs. Does anyone have pics?

I noticed they had them listed on the Warn site on the vehicle reference guide when I looked up hubs for my Ford. I went Aisin on my 80 and cut the groove myself only due to not finding a machine shop that day and needed it drivable the next day. Wasn't that bad. Just measure twice and cut once. I had to widen the groove a bit because I didn't. A cutting wheel will cut it like butter so be ready.

I know this is an old post just got lucky w manual hubs from an IFS and spline size is smaller than the 80, but I did see an ad for double grooved marlin baurfeild kit. Kind a too high for me, but I'm willing to try it for free if the any samples. For real anyone. Maybe one day someday. Thanks again for the info.

43530-60042 (80 series/7x series w/8mm studs)

43530-60130 (7x/105 series w/10mm studs)
Beno,

I found a set of hubs with PN
43530-60042 (1)

43530-69055 (1)

Is the 2nd one the correct pn for the80s? ( Still modifying the birf)

Thanks in advance

Wao! lots of info here (as always) not sure if it is so over there, but I have a 95 with factory manual locking hubs, when I broke one, I just went to look for a toyota that had them, (must be around the same year) in the end I installed a 4runner manual locking hub on my front left and it has been there with no issues at all, bolted right up no mods needed...again, mine came with manual locking hubs from factory
