I have a 1991 4x4 pickup with V6 and auto locking hubs. I put a plow on it a couple of years ago, and last time I used it I can smell the clutch burning. I only do my driveway and some neighbors, nothing commercial. I want to replace it with something that can handle plowing but still be drivable for my wife. Any help would be appreciated.

Marlin, Centerforce, Exedy all make clutches that have higher clamping pressure than the stocker.

Most have good things to say about the Marlin HD clutches:meh:

I would:

* Put in an OEM or Marlin clutch, and

* Pay someone else to beat up their truck by plowing with it.

My preference is an Aisin clutch, Marlin clutch (built Aisin) or Valeo clutch.

I never hear anyone talk about the valeo's but they make one heck of a clutch. Plus they are one of the cheapest on the market.

Thanks but I'm pretty sure the plowing I do is pretty easy compared to what I do to it off road. I'm not a collector.
